Matthew E. Misichko, J.D.


Mr. Misichko is an Associate in the Commercial Practice Group at Handler Thayer, LLP. Prior to joining Handler Thayer, LLP, Mr. Misichko worked for a non-profit organization in Chicago, Illinois, handling contract negotiations for large-scale events. In addition, he worked for a private corporation as an analyst for logistics evaluation and risk assessment.

While in law school, Mr. Misichko was a legal intern at two professional sports organizations where he assisted general counsel in drafting player contracts and reviewing various intellectual property issues. He also worked for a judge in the Law Division at the Circuit Court of Cook County, writing memoranda for medical malpractice and personal injury cases.

Mr. Misichko earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was a Dean’s List recipient and received Honors Distinction in Oral Advocacy. During law school, he served as an Administrative Editor for the Elder Law Journal and as a teaching assistant for Oral Advocacy. Mr. Misichko’s note was selected for publication in the Elder Law Journal and received a Rickert Award for Excellence in Legal Writing for his work. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with highest honors from the University of Illinois.

Mr. Misichko is licensed to practice law in Illinois and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
