Amanda C. Andrews, J.D., LL.M.


Ms. Andrews is an Associate in the Advanced Planning and Family Office Practice Group at Handler Thayer, LLP. She practices primarily in the areas of estate planning and taxation. Ms. Andrews’ experience has included estate planning, federal and state taxation issues, trust administration, estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes, probate, estate administration, tax compliance and charitable planning with an emphasis on cross-border transactions. She advises ultra-high-net-worth families, family offices, entrepreneurs and closely held businesses. She has also counseled clients regarding corporate formations, structures and charitable entity administration.

Ms. Andrews earned a Master of Laws in Taxation degree from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law where she received a public service award for pro-bono activities. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Davidson College.

Ms. Andrews is licensed to practice law in Illinois and New York. She is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council, Chicago Bar Association and American Bar Association.
