Jeffrey P. Story serves as Senior Counsel in the Advanced Planning & Family Office Practice Group at Handler Thayer. He concentrates his legal practice on assisting individuals and families with complex trusts, estate planning and estate administration, in addition to helping clients and their family members who have Special Needs Trusts.
Mr. Story is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and in his previous experience concentrated on Estate Planning, Elder Law and Special Needs Planning and Trusts.
Mr. Story’s background in Elder Law has given him experience counseling clients regarding Advance Care Planning with Health Care Powers of Attorney; counseling clients on consideration for selecting Power of Attorney for Property Agents outside of their immediate family or friends in order to provide themselves with better advocates when they need them most; and counseling clients on avoiding risks of undue influence and dementia in their Estate Planning for incapacity, including establishing irrevocable trusts.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double Major in French and English Literature from the University of Massachusetts and a Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston.
