Andrew Willis is an Associate in the Advanced Planning & Family Office Practice Group at Handler
Thayer. Mr. Willis focuses his practice on probate, estate administration, trusts and estates and estate
contest litigation. He has also worked with nonprofit clients and has experience with contracts, and
business transactions, trademarks and copyright issues and land use/zoning matters.

Mr. Willis has previous experience working in the public policy arena in the Illinois General Assembly. He
also externed for Justice Bertina Lampkin of the Illinois Appellate Court for the First District, the Illinois
Attorney General’s Office and the Liberty Justice Center.

Mr. Willis received his law degree with honors from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent
College of Law where he served as an Executive Articles Editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review and
president of the Federalist Society and Christian Legal Society Student Chapters. He graduated with an
undergraduate degree from Liberty University with honors.

Mr. Willis is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and is a member of the Illinois State Bar
Association and he has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and
the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. In his free time, Andrew enjoys camping, local history,
and prodding on his Chicago Bears.
